Gosia Millward

TA Psychotheraputic Individual, Relationship Couple Counsellor

Hello and welcome!

So what can I say to help put you at ease? What kind of person am I? The easiest way to describe it would be to simply say that I’m a good listener - people feel like they can talk to me, but also that they want to. I’m non-judgemental, curious and interested to know what is happening for my clients and I don’t look to place labels on them or pathologize their behaviour. I’m highly able to understand and connect with the emotions of others, I’m open and transparent in my approach but also able to be analytical about what is happening too. I also think it’s important for clients to have space where they can simply be, to express their fears or other feelings they don’t believe can be shown elsewhere.

My past life experiences, academic development, career pathway and drive to directly support individuals to lead more fulfilling lives have led me into practising Psychotherapy privately obtaining my qualifications from highly respected Metanoia Institute. I have 2 practices in Shoreditch London 5 min from Liverpool street, and Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.

I am an experienced Relational TA Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, working with individuals and couples and families, and all other relationships including polyamorous and non- romantic. I have 7 years’ experience in supporting a wide variety of presenting issues.

I provide psychotherapy for individuals, teenagers, and adults of any age, couples, regardless of sexual orientation, and specifically for people who identify themselves as belonging to the LGBTQ+ community.

In my last role, I worked in Prison, with clients of various presentation of mental illness facilitating groups and individuals I also worked in Hospice and Fertility Clinics, and Secondary schools. Through my work, I have experience of helping people to address a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, infertility, stress, self-confidence, relationship development, past trauma, life direction, work-related issues etc. and my specialisms lie in working with challenging relationships, trauma, infertility, depression, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mental health and dual diagnosis work, criminal justice-related issues. I use CBT, alongside Psychodynamic and Relational approaches.

All current work will be Face to Face, online, or via talking on the phone.

I hope you got a sense of who I am and I am looking forward to seeing you.
